DEK Tubewear Capsule

Machined 6061-T6 aluminum capsule for a single compressed silk garment. Threaded cap with O-ring seal, integrated keychain loop, and laser-engraved DEK monogram. Parametric CAD source, manufacturing blueprints, and export bundle prepared for the machinist and prototype printer.

Assembly Instructions

Build Sequence

    Deburr and clean the turned capsule body; verify internal cavity Ø 3.70 mm ± 0.05.
  2. 2
    Test-fit the M5 × 0.5 cap threads; apply a light coat of dry PTFE.
  3. 3
    Seat the AS568-003 O-ring into the cap groove without twisting.
  4. 4
    Laser-engrave the DEK monogram on the capsule body at the marked datum.
  5. 5
    Anodize both parts (Type II clear or gold); mask threads before dip.
  6. 6
    Roll the silk garment along its long axis; insert into the cavity.
  7. 7
    Hand-thread the cap until the O-ring is fully compressed (¼ turn past first contact).
  8. 8
    Attach Ø 20 mm split ring through the cap keychain loop.
