Abstract

A method for separating fruit flesh from pits and seeds by first freeze-drying the whole fruit intact until the flesh becomes brittle and powdered, then passing the dried material over a vibratory floor with multi-tier physical filters to separate the powder from the intact pit/seed material — without wet processing, without mechanical crushing, and without contamination.

Novelty vs Prior Art

No existing industrial process freeze-dries whole fruit prior to pit/seed separation. Industry standard is wet-state separation, which causes juice loss, contamination, and seed damage.
