I grew up on 16th Street. Met murderers. Met bank robbers. Met people who played chess with the mayor of San Francisco. Record producers in LA hunted me down at 18 — their publishers tracked me to SF just to bring me back. I've seen the world's worst and its most brilliant. I know everybody has a heart in there somewhere. It's just been broken.
When they told me I had osteomyelitis — that I'd die from sepsis if I didn't amputate my toes — my doctor wouldn't prescribe a hyperbaric chamber. So I invented one. That's who I am. I don't stop. I create.
Now I just want to go to Japan. Sit on a beautiful island. Experience people. Let that fuel the next invention — the next thing that helps somebody. That's all this is.
I don't really want money. I want to travel and experience people — that's what gives me creativity. When I meet someone on a beautiful island, or in Japan, or anywhere — it makes me a better inventor, a better healer. Every penny goes toward that journey and comes back as something I build for you.
